Rather than put up with someone else’s decor in her rented apartment whilst filming in Nashville, Gwyneth Paltrow has enlisted interior designer Annette Joseph to create a contemporary scheme. She shared the results in a recent GOOP newsletter and I have to say I like the space she has created for Apple and Moses.
From the blackboard wall with chunky chalks to the seating areas it is a simple concept executed well. Ordinarily I wouldn’t get excited over a neutral colour scheme but I think the black board wall and purple bunk beds really pop. The bunk bed may well have been $1,000 but I think you could achieve something similar with as nicely shaped wooden bed and a can of purple paint. I think this room shows you that even with (what looks like) limited floor space you can create a room which is spacious and chic. There is space to play, places to snuggle and areas for creativity. I only wonder where they store everything…
