If you don’t have any Maileg mice in your life, this is a good place to start. The super-cuties come in various sizes and guises, with myriad clothes and accessories but, to my mind, you can’t beat the baby mouse that sleeps in a teeny matchbox, complete with knitted sleeping bag and heart-shaped dummy. The mice are so popular it’s unusual to find them on sale, but I have (my pleasure) over at Eeny Meeny Kids, where the baby boy is a mere £7.60 (reduced from £11.60), making him a great gift and probably constant companion for your little one. There’s also a big brother mouse in a box for £11.50 (was £15.50) and the ultra cool Mr Wolf is reduced to £15 from £20, while baby bunny rattles are now just £4.99 each (previously £8.99). Squeak, squeak!
