See that happy face there? That’s the face of a very pleased three year old who has spent the last hour or so jumping into the pool, totally water-confident, thanks to the Sevylor Deluxe Puddle Jumper Swimming Aid. This aid has really taken him to the next level. He’s always been good in the water but this has allowed him to feel comfortable jumping in and going under. Plus it has a pirate on it – that’s always a winner.
It’s super comfortable and has a no chafe soft fabric cover that allows natural movement and freedom to swim and explore. It comes with a rear adjustable buckle that children cannot unclip themselves while on, which I obviously love. There are a few other things I love about the Puddle Jumper. Firstly, he sits in the water with it, not on the water like some swimming aids, so he’s in a more natural swimming position. Secondly, he’s worn that for hours a day and not once complained about how uncomfortable it is. No tight marks round the arms like the swimming discs, no skin friction like armbands, no awkward straps or ‘hard bits’ like others…. it just works. Finn’s three, but big for his age and it was perfect for him. A lady poolside marvelled at how well he was doing in it, so when Finn was at kids’ club gave it a go on her smaller built two year old. Same result. Happy kid. It’s aimed at children between 15 and 30 kg, and is fully adjustable.
You’ll be pleased to know it’s pocket friendly, too; currently on sale on Amazon from £15 and also available with seahorse, frog and fairy prints. I really do love this aid, it’s a massive thumbs up from us.
PS. Before you ask – his super cool swim shorts are by Gardener & The Gang, you can get them at Milly Mog.
