I am much enamoured of pinafores for the Little One. Not only are they pleasingly reminiscent of my childhood (navy blue pinafores with thick tights and Mary Janes from Clarks, anyone?) but I am also totally convinced of their practicality. Easy summer wear… but also cunningly transformed into winter wear by adding a long-sleeved body underneath, along with some stripy leg-warmers, or tights.
Now that I’ve convinced you that pinafores are in fact a ‘basics’ purchase, I’m certain you won’t need any more persuading to snap up this dress from Katie Dora.
Brenda has already rhapsodised about Katie Dora, when she was telling us about the changing mats sold there, but I think this dress is cute enough to merit its own entry.
Where do I start? The lovely retro shape. The bright bold pattern with more than a hint of Orla Keily about it. They’re even hand-made.
Available from Katie Dora for £24 – £26, in sizes ranging from 6 months to 4 years – I don’t know about you, but I am in baby-clothes heaven.
