I think it’s fairly safe to say we’re a bit owl mad here at BG (see Lucy’s fab roundup of owl inspired products) and this deliciously retro owl clock by etsy seller Decoylab is a musthave if you take your owl gear seriously. It’s made from laser cut bamboo and is $48 plus $7 shipping. We found this via Tiny Decor blog.
I’m not big on pink and blue yet I do like them when they err on the cool side, such as with these polka dot shoes for newborns by Folksy seller Gemini Crafts made from felt. These are a bargain at £3.50!
Carnethie Design on Folksy do these organic and fairtrade certified cotton wall tidy’s and quilts which are padded with organic wadding. Definitely one to check out if you like vintage inspired textiles with a bit of whimsical. From £20 for a wall tidy.
Definitely aimed at babies and parents who like a rock/goth/punk edge to their gear, RockerByeBaby has a vibrant, edgy range of blankets, tag blankets (‘skullies’), ‘booger bashers’ which is rock speak for snot wipers, and onesies, tees, and trousers in eclectic prints and minky reverses. Starts from $7 for a booger basher. Thanks to Abby at Juicytots (@Juicytots) for the tip off.
If you’re on the lookout for some embroidery pattern inspiration, check out the patterns at etsy’s PenguinandFish which includes this cute lion and many other animals that you could for instinace stitch onto a bodysuit. For $6, you get a downloadable PDF with the pattern. Thanks to Kat for the tip off.
