There’s a new store in town and Tootsie and Fudge (cool name) is stocking an eclectic mix of Danish design and I found some winter coats by a brand called Mala that hadn’t been on my radar before. It’s super bright clothing with geometric designs and all of it is Oeko-tex Standard 100 certified. Say what? In layman’s terms this means that their clothing has been benchmarked against strict standards that test the textiles used to ensure that more than 100 harmful substances are not being used in the fabric which gives consumers confidence in the quality of the fabric. Whew! Now back to the coats!
Rolling up first is the petrol blue wool coat with pink and purple spots (pictured above). This is a classic style that really is absolutely gorgeous right down to the woven buttons. The spots continue on the back and of wool coats I’ve seen so far for toddlers, it’s pretty well priced at £75. From age 3.
They have these fab hooded bodywarmers that look like they have been attacked by the sun. Ideal for the not so chilly days or for that kid that seems to hate wearing a coat! You could also team with chunky knit jumpers when it gets a bit chillier. From size 3 years for £38 and also available in purple.
As I mentioned a couple of days ago when I featured Molo fleeces, I have suddenly become a fan of fleece for babies and it continues with these fabulous all in-one suits which are also available in chocolate huggy bear brown.
They have poppers running diagonally down the front with contrasting darker trim and the loud geometric lining with even a little pocket on the side. The embroidered circles give it the super cool finishing touch. £38 in 6 months and 1 year. They also have some seriously loud geometric print winter suits for £69.
