Well I think a cardboard cot certainly takes fashionable, industrial living to a new high.
Album Di Famiglia have created this flatpack number which is suitable for babies from 0-9 months. Despite being made from cardboard it says it’s very stable and has large wheels to make it easy to move around. It also comes with a 3-4cm thick mattress.
If you’re into the barebones cardboard look, then you can leave it as is with the company logo on it, or you can paint it, add stickers, and pretty much do what you want to the outside.
Now I imagine this is recyclable although at £198…this is no ordinary cardboard box! It doesn’t say how the cardboard was produced but let’s hope it was in a very eco-friendly manner that goes some way to justifying the rather fashion led price… Still, I don’t suggest that you try a Blue Peter and make one of your own…
I have to say…I do like it and it actually lasts longer than your average moses basket, but this is definitely for the design led and achingly trendy with a few spare pounds in their purse…
£198 (it was actually £154! when we originally published this!) from Little Fashion Gallery
