I am a little bit obsessed with the MURO System. It’s a great idea, a simple concept perfectly executed. Muro consists of two parts: base and toys. The base is the foundation of the system and provides the trade-mark holes that makes a MURO so distinctive. The toys are fitted with special connectors and simply press into these holes, meaning that you can easily create your own unique activity centres that are not only perfectly suited to your child’s stage of development but can also keep up as they grow.
The base is available in two styles: Board or Cube. The Board can either be attached to the wall or used as a stand-alone toy. The Cube is a free-standing activity centre that might seem similar to activity cubes you have come across before, but better. There are over 30 different toys available which can be purchased individually or in bundles. You’ll find toys such as a colour spinner, light switch, pull-up rail, peg sorter, bead maze, door, handle, latch, abacus, xylophone…. and loads more. Bases start from £85 and toys from £1.50.
They’re all suitable for children aged from 12 months up to 5 years old and the bases are made from sustainable birch-plywood that is finished to maintain the natural beauty of the colour and grain. The toys are made from rubber wood, which is grown locally to their factory as part of the latex industry before being repurposed into toys!
They’ve sold out of lots of the packages online when buying direct, but we have spotted them in stock at Kidly, with free shipping.
