British Science Week kicks off today, so I thought we’d have exclusively sciencey posts, then also have something science-based every day for the duration. It’s your chance to engage your little ones with all things science by getting involved with projects, activities and events around the country. The website explains this year’s citizen project, which is all to with bats and also has a downloadable activity pack which is full of fun things to do like investigating accidents, identifying natural landmarks photographed from space, creating electrodough circuits and making toothpaste. There are also details of events happening around the country, from Inspire Engineering Days at the London Museum of Transport, a chocolate laboratory in Brighton, the chance to go behind the scenes of a cancer research lab in Cardiff and Manchester and a caravan obscura in Edinburgh. A great opportunity to get children involved and inspired by science.
