Earlier this year we went to Florida and took our SwimFin with us. We spent a lot of time in water – Lola and Finn were in the pool or splashing about at Blizzard Beach pretty much everyday. Lola loves swimming and is over-confident with it, and although that’s OK to a degree, when she tells you she’s going to swim the lazy river rather than be lazy, we do make her put on a swim aid and the awesome SwimFin was perfect for the job.
It’s a floatation device for toddlers and upwards which sits on the back, fastened with two straps. It’s perfect for little mermaids like Lola because it doesn’t restrict her arms (like armbands) and doesn’t force her to sit on top of the water (like buoyancy jackets) – she loves swimming under water. Lola’s swimming level meant that we were on full jaws effect with the SwimFin not doing too much work. If a non-swimmer uses it, the fin is more submerged and working harder. The jaws look delighted all the kids around the pool. It’s a big thumbs up from us – a great way to boost confidence for the little ones and provide reassurance to their grown ups. Lola loved it.
