Last year I was waxing lyrical about my love for the Tidy Books Gallery Bookshelf, and since then we’ve added one of their Bed Bunks to Lola’s room.
The Bed Bunk is made from sustainable plywood, not MDF, so it’s both strong and light. The slim profile means it doesn’t jut out over your child’s bed and the shelf lip means things aren’t going to fall off. It fixes securely to the wall, so can’t be knocked over and comes ready-made which makes a lovely change from flat pack! It’s also finished in a water lacquer which is safe for children, and better for the environment.
Lola loves this. If you have a child who takes all sorts to bed with them, they’ll love it too. She stashes her books and favourite softies at the top and the bottom is filled with whatever treasures she’s in love with at that moment – currently her Djeco Arty Princesses, Numero 74 crown and a camera from our very own store. And just before I took this photo I removed last night’s glass of water! She’s in a mid-sleeper so having this has stopped her needing to get out of bed to grab her drink. I love that it’s slim enough not to result in head bang. The instructions tell you where to place it, too.
It’s guaranteed for 7 years and definitely not just for bunk beds. It’s also ideal for smaller rooms as it doesn’t take up the much-needed floor space. When Finn’s a little older, I’ll be getting him one.
The plain white one we have is £59, and it’s also available in pink and blue. You can also get them personalised for an extra £10. I’ve just spotted they have a discount code running at the moment, so if you’re looking to invest in one of these (or anything else!) do so now and save 20% by adding SALE20 at checkout, and you’ll pay £47.20!
