I beyond love this concept. In fact, I’m a bit annoyed I didn’t think of it myself. BabyLit is a series of board books based on literary classics, so you’ll find Little Miss Bronte’s Wuthering Heights, which explores the weather, Little Master Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet (numbers) and Little Miss Austen’s Sense & Sensibility (opposites). They are the brainchild of Jennifer Adams and Alison Oliver and he latest additons to the collection are Little Master Carroll’s Jabberwocky (nonsense), Little Master Conan Doyle’s Hound of the Baskervilles (sounds) and, my personal favourite, Little Master Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina, which is all about fashion. They are published by Gibbs Smith and have an RRP of £5.99 each. A fab way to introduce your little ones to the classics and just brilliant as quirky gifts for the offspring of bibliophiles – Kitty will be adding a few to her Christmas wish list.
