The bambino loves these Animal Discovery Cards from Baby Einstein. They’re a set of 29 hard cardboard flash cards with great glossy photos of various animals.
On the back of the flash cards are ‘Teaching Tips’ which give a few bullet points of different things that you can tell your baby about the animal.
Even though she has no clue what I mean when I explain about what the animal does, she clearly has her favourites who she shrieks with delight at when she sees. Any that she doesn’t like, she forces me to let her flick back through the cards till she sees one that she likes. They’re very good fun and educational, plus I’ve been forced to be quite creative about animal sounds…
