The combination of classic fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood and Alison Jay’s illustrations is a compelling one. In this beautiful book (ace gift alert) Jay takes the tale of the girl visiting her grandmother and puts a little spin on it by hiding lots of characters from other fairytales and nursery rhymes in the background of each scene. We’ve really enjoyed hunting for Puss in Boots, the Gingerbread Man and the Three Little Pigs while reading. Little Red Riding Hood by Alison Jay (Templar, RRP £12.99).
