Yes, we know we're already halfway through January (how is that even possible?), but we realised we hadn't really said a proper Happy New Year to you all, so here we are. We hope you had a wonderful festive season, although doesn't that feel like ages ago now? We've got lots of plans for BG in 2018, including expanding our popular party supplies collection (you'll find Lego-style, wild animal and ice lolly in store), but we'd love to know what you'd like to see on here. More brilliant buys? Arts and crafts? Party inspiration? Interviews? Recipes? Should we revisit our Room Tours? Do let us know by commenting on here, or over on Facebook or Instagram or email us on team@bambinogoodies.co.uk.
We're kicking things off with a round-up of our favourite and the most popular posts from 2017, plus a fabulous printable for your little one to fill in – this is great thing to do at the start of the every year and look back on together to see what's changed. We'll be sharing what the BG crew make of them - do share your small people's quirkiest answers as well.

Inspiration: Alfie's Harry Potter Party
Now, we've done a lot of themed parties, but I think that's Alfie's 8th birthday in April was probably my favourite so far. There are so many creative ideas to apply to a Harry Potter party I was spoiled for choice, but the hot glue gun wands were particularly brilliant and adored by all the Potter obsessed party attendees.

Yes, it chucked it down 50% of the time and, yes, there was mud (most of it on Kitty's hands!), but we still had an absolute blast at the brilliant Camp Bestival - you only have to look at the expressions on the children's faces to see how much fun they had. And we loved the Scummy Mummies wine tasting. See you there in 2018?

Five Fab... Empowering Buys for International Women's Day
This was a big hit on our IG feed and no surprise. Things are definitely set to continue to improve in terms of feminist books and toys - with Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls 2, new Little People, Big Dreams and Women in Sport all imminent - watch out for our reviews coming soon.

Suzy Snooze is probably my favourite find that's made it in to our home this year. Finn adores Suzy and it really does work. Not only does it help settle him, but it chases away all his fears of being in the dark. He's asked me, on more than once occasion, not to turn Suzy on yet as she makes him sleepy and he wants to kiss daddy/read a book/chat!

Make your own easy and cheap Tinkerbell costume
This is one of my favourite costume makes because it was so easy, also really cheap (I spent under a fiver!) and Lola received so many lovely comments when wearing it. Recently passed on to someone who purchased a whole load of outgrown costumes from us as a freebie and they were thrilled.

Less than 10 minutes to make a playable craft is always a win, but I love this post because it brings back how much Finn enjoyed it. Just look at his little face. The birds - plus more - are still randomly perched around the house and it's a go to activity for us.

Make Your Own: Super Simple No Sew Kids Hooded Cloak
We love this one too and have used this design a number of times throughout the year for one dress up costume or another! This year will be the year we redo this tutorial with better photos - we had no idea it was going to be so popular!

Make Your Own: Lego figure display via MissIrisCreations
A craft and Lego mash up. What more do we have to say? You guys have been loving this post and the fact you’ll also need to do a spot of maths to mark out the space between the blocks and the frame hasn't put you off either!

Ear Defenders for Babies and Young Children – Festival must have
This one has been popular since 2011 and not just because the Bambino kids are the cutest little babies, but because they really are a must have buy. We update this every year to keep it useful and relevant!
