Yeah, so there’s a bit of rain forecast – what of it? I’m resolutely in my SunSans until September now. There’s a veritable rainbow of sandal styles out there this summer – here’s my pick of the best for little ones of the female persuasion. Tune in next week for boys.

Madona [sic] Silver Star Suede sandals, £45, Avarca Castell. Handmade in Menorca, these beauties are newly available in the UK and have leather uppers and rubber soles.
Sweetheart sandals, from £35, SunSan. The 1940s American originals are designed to be worn in water (yet Saltwaters are practically uniform for mums on the school run in Brighton).
Bloom sandals, £37.50, Livie & Luca. So many super-stylish sandals at L&L it’s hard to choose, but Kitty wore these to a wedding last week and they are gorgeous.
See Kai Run watermelon sandals, £34.99, Happy Little Soles. See Kai Run is one of my favourite children’s shoe brands. Shoes are wide fitting with flexible rubber soles. Also available in Pineapple!
Manuela de Juan sandals, £37.10, Igloo Kids. I adore the combination of yellow and gold – really wish they came in my size.
Twins sandals, £35, Camper. Loving the grey and coral colourway and geometric patterns.
Hatch sandals, £35, Hug and Hatch. We wrote about this new brand earlier in the year – the sandal comes in silver, blue/grey, khaki and leopard-print.
Glitter sandals, from £15.40, Boden. Party sandal alert! The combination of turquoise and green is a refreshing change from silver and gold.
Pom D’Api Plagette sandals, £73, AlexandAlexa. Yup, we’re still embracing the neon thang, especially as a pop of colour against a neutral background.
Meduse jelly shoes, £8, Scout and Co. Talking of neon, retro 80s jelly shoes are perfect for the beach, around the pool or just strolling around town.
