I’m an advocate of barefoot babies, but there are times (e.g. when the winter chill sets in) when you need a pair of shoes for even the tiniest toes. Luckily, there are some amazingly cute soft shoe styles ideal as that first pair for the memory box. Here are ten of my favourites.
Converse First Star, £22.99, Office. You can’t go wrong with a pair of Converse.
Polka dot t-bars, £17.99, Zara Mini. Zara is spot on (sorry!) again with these sweet little dotty pumps.
Classic Navy Star shoes, £14.95, Shoo Shoos. Neutral, go-with-anything and super-soft.
Bloch Baby Sirenetta in Gold, £26, I Love Gorgeous. The ballet pump is a timeless classic.
Metallic leather boots, £95, Vevian. Yes, yes, they are ridiculously expensive, but check out that metallic green leather. And they come in a wooden box.
Silver bootees, £20, Vertbaudet. Very Marc Jacobs.
Jack & Lily skull shoes, £28.99, Happy Little Soles. Aaaaarrrrrrrrrrr! One for the aspiring pirates among you.
Turquoise Pio Pio Mary Janes, £29.99, Livie &Â Luca. If you want attention – wear a pair of shoes with a gold bird on. Just gorgeous.
Tip Toey Joey red Mary Janes, £39, Alexandalexa. Every girl should own a pair of red shoes.
Giraffes Tiny Toms Classics, £24, Toms. Comfy canvas and each pair bought means a pair for a child in a developing country.
Also, keep an eye out for Bobux New B leather shoes for newborn feet, which launch at the end of the month. Choose from a rainbow of colours – I’m loving the yellow.
