How do I get my store or product featured?
Tell us about it! Send us an email or get in touch via our social media channels. We will consider all requests, but unfortunately, the sheer volume of enquiries that we get means that we cannot respond individually, although we do try.
Can I be featured before I advertise?
Press coverage and advertising are two very different things. We don’t do ‘free advertising’ – we feature things we like and we also have a range of advertising options. We don’t ever feature something just because you’ve advertised.
Can I send you a product to be reviewed?
Please email us at email@example.com, stating what product(s) you want to be reviewed if they’re too keep or how long you can lend them to us for and what age they are suitable for. We have four children of different ages between us. Ideally, a product would need to be with us for a minimum of 21 days if you want it returned and you are responsible for its return, so you will need to supply paid postage or courier collection details. If it’s for us to keep. Thank you. Please note, we don’t post negative reviews. We have no interest in bringing your product down, so if we’re not keen, we won’t review on any of our channels.
Can I offer your readers a discount code?
Of course! Discount codes cost £60 per month and the discount must be a minimum of 10%. Existing advertisers receive discounts on discount codes! These are also promoted to our email subscribers. You have subscribed, haven’t you?
Can I send you a press release?
Yes, but do read How BG Works before you do to make sure it’s relevant. Send press releases to firstname.lastname@example.org, but please don’t send large attachments. One email will more than suffice… Please ask permission before adding our email addresses to your mailing list.
How do I get to know what you’re working on?
Good question. We have a mailing list for stores and PRs, if you want to be added please drop us an email and let us know who you’re representing. We also have a separate list for all things festivals, again, send us an email to be included.
I have an idea I think would be brilliant for BG!
Yay. Get in touch. We love brilliant ideas and are open to all suggestions as long as they’re inline with our ethos.
How do I get featured on Hot Shops?
Handpicked by us, these are stores that we have shopped in or featured on BG. Much like the stuff in our daily posts, the majority of shops are stumbled across or recommended by readers, friends, or other blogs. If your store is currently listed in our Hot Shops Guide, you can enhance the post with a longer listing and image for a fee – email email@example.com for details.
I’d like some advice on how to launch/market my store. Can you help?
Yes, we can. We work on a consultancy basis with clients and have lots of course based material. Please drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested.
I’m a designer – can we collaborate on a product?
Let’s talk – we’re planning lots of designer collaborations for our store Shop Bambino Goodies. Email us on email@example.com with your ideas.
I would like to work with BG on some joint marketing activity – do you do this?
Yes, we do but this tends to be with companies that a relationship has already been established with. Get in touch.
Can we use your posts on our site?
Yes, you can, but please credit them with a link back to BG, preferably directly to the page/post in question, rather than the homepage.
Can I pay you to write about our product/service?
Absolutely not. We don’t do sponsored posts. We really value the relationship we have with our readers and don’t have the energy to go into explanations about what is and isn’t paid content. Nor do we want to take part in campaigns.
Can I give you a competition prize and get details of your mailing list?
No. We don’t share our data under any circumstances.
I can’t afford to advertise. Can I give you a competition prize instead?
We rarely run competitions, but, as a general rule, you’ll need to supply a prize with a value of £150 plus and we charge a small admin fee. There is advertising to suit all budgets – email firstname.lastname@example.org for our rate card.
Do you do link exchanges?
Never, so please don’t ask. You are more than welcome to let us know about your site, but we choose what goes on Bambino Goodies.
